Project Vortex is an international collective of artists, designers, and architects actively focusing on the global problem of plastic pollution through their art. Curated by founding member Aurora Robson, this exhibition features a selection of works by Project Vortex members who are sequestering post-industrial and post-consumer plastic into works of art.

Memory In Pieces
When installing large-scale disc sculptures, the bins of broken discs are replenished leading to small-sculpture studio time.
Each new group of Memory in Pieces begins with sorting through the small collection of disc fragments. I sort, cut, and arrange while searching for relationships among color, texture, and printed fragments. I usually work on three to five at a time, shifting pieces from one to another until certain patterns begin to hold.
The process feels part puzzle and part excavation. I look for ways the fragments echo each other, where traces of text align, or where a faint image might bridge from one piece to the next. When a composition starts to settle, I layer the fragments to build depth, like sediment forming over time.
These new works continue the exploration of memory as both material and metaphor. Each fragment carries a story once stored in light, sound, or data, now reshaped into something quiet and tactile.
