Donated CD and DVD discs, aluminum, monofilament, zip ties, cable, hardware, and lights
Installed at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art
Sedalia, Missouri

I am grateful to share that Relay, a new site-responsive installation, is now on view at the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art in Sedalia, Missouri.

Created for the halls of the Stauffacher, Relay is a large suspended sculpture that responds to the museum’s architecture through repeated arcs, loops, and a sense of movement through space.

The title Relay suggests transmission, exchange, teamwork, and the passing of energy from one point to another. In the installation, collected materials and repeated forms come together as a visual current, inviting viewers to look up, move through the building, and experience the work from shifting perspectives.

I am deeply grateful to the Daum Museum team for their care, trust, and support throughout the planning and installation process and to the CD team who worked alongside me on site with such focus, care, and generosity to help bring Relay into being.

THANK YOU to the Relay team including Daum crew, State Fair Community College students, SFCC facilities, Missouri State University team from Springfield, and more….

Thank you to Stealth Industry in Dallas, TX for their support and expertise to create the aluminum structure components for this site-specific sculpture. These 2” fabricated L-angle 5.5 ft rings are perfect and the reducing scale of the smaller rings created an excellent exoskeleton for the 💿💿💿
