This summer included an inspiring week at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts with an amazing team, supportive friends, and wonderful group of creative students! I feel so honored I was able to be return to Tennessee to be a part of the Arrowmont faculty and was able to work with Olivia Hinkel who was a dedicated and thoughtful studio assistant.

Fabricating and Collecting Landscapes workshop: Learn material sensitive sculpture techniques in this one-of-a-kind workshop. Drawing from the natural landscape around Arrowmont and fabricating with a wide range of media, you will create a series of sculptural landscapes using found objects that they bring to class as well as curating from the instructor’s collection. Open to all skill levels.

Arrowmont has been described as magical, life-changing, inspiring, invigorating and more. This experience, meaningful, moving and affirming, is not something easily put into words. It is different each day and for each individual. The essence of the experience is grounded in exploration and discovery – conscious and subliminal. Whether walking through gallery exhibitions on the way to a studio, sharing meals and laughter, struggling to refine an idea, discovering new materials or collaborating with others, students are inspired by the time spent here.
