Documentary - Oklahoma PBS
Tune In Thursday, November 6 at 7pm cst: Documentary Airing on OETA’s Gallery America
I am excited to share that a new documentary featuring my work will air November 6th on Oklahoma PBS OETA (Oklahoma Educational Television Authority) as part of the Gallery America series.
You can watch live on TV if you are in Oklahoma, or stream it online here: Watch live on OETA
If you miss the broadcast, the episode will be available later on the Gallery America show page: Watch later on Gallery America
This project has been a journey from concept through documenting of the fabrication, collaboration, installation, student engagement, and final edit. I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life. It means a lot to have this story reach OETA’s public television audience and to be shareable online for anyone who cannot tune in live.
This documentary was filmed in connection with my exhibition Loop: Gravity Returning at Oklahoma Contemporary and highlights the conversations, studio moments, and installations that unfolded throughout that process. The team at OETA and especially videographer Jonathan Thompson brought great care and insight to documenting this work and the ideas behind it.
Through their filming, the story traces how sculpture, community participation, and reflection on material value come together in my practice. I am honored that this collaboration will now reach a broader audience through OETA’s Gallery America series.
Thank you to OETA and the Gallery America team for this opportunity. Thank you to my collaborators, my students, and my community for your encouragement and energy.
