@emilggorman's reel rocks - Check out this amazing Team Fabricated Landscapes @andersonranchartscenter

This summer included an amazing week at @andersonranchartscenter with Team Fabricated Landscapes! I feel so honored I was able to be part of the ARAC faculty for a workshop and thankful to join such a remarkable team of students, interns, and studio coordinators!

We covered several tools and techniques quickly leading to an impressive range of new work, ideas, and approaches. The landscapes we engaged, recalled, researched, and hiked through ranged from conceptual to actual ones. And the connections and support of each other as new artworks evolved was heartening and inspirational!

Thank you to all the ARAC staff and crew including administrative, maintenance and grounds, cafe and meal, and outreach for their work and support to make these opportunities possible.

I definitely recommend visiting the ranch if you are able to. And, I totally recommend following them on social media and checking out their Youtube channel for the speakers and events that are available remotely.

Anderson Ranch Art Center - An Art Original Since 1966

“It is a center, not a school. We’re different.” — Paul Soldner, Founder of Anderson Ranch Arts Center

In the beginning… It was the vision of prominent American raku ceramist Paul Soldner combined with an incredible land opportunity that paved the way for what Anderson Ranch is today—one of the most respected visual arts programs in the country.

In 1966, just as the ski industry began to blossom, local resort developers envisioned an arts and cultural center for the valley and surrounding community. They called on Soldner, who chose the Anderson Ranch property as the location for that venue, to make it a reality.
