24 HOURS OF WONDER
A perpetual, global art installation devised by Leticia Bajuyo and Sabine Senft

Our installation 24 Hours of Wonder will be part of the international exhibition “Eisenwunderwelt” in Berlin at Moving Poets NOVILLA during the 9th International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art. This is a cross-cultural collaborative exhibition that fosters the bridging of cultures and geo-political boundaries through shared creativity and passion across art disciplines. It sets the stage for artists to create interdisciplinary artworks together. The guiding theme is “Wunderkammer” or “Cabinet of Curiosities”, where collected disparate items form a new unity like our 24 Hours of Wonder.

DiverseWorks' annual fundraiser showcases fourteen suspended light works by Texas artists Leticia Bajuyo, Susan Budge, John Calaway, Carlos Canul, Lina Dib, Rachel Gardner, Ronald L. Jones, Sharon Kopriva, Charmaine Locke, Jack Massing, Sherry Owens, Patrick Renner, Kaneem Smith, James Surls, and George Tobolowsky.

All works will be on display at the Orange Show from May 4-6 before the big night and silent auction on May 7th.

Most people don't realize that only 9% of plastics are actually recycled. This panel will explore what artists can do to be of service around this issue while stretching their creative problem-solving muscles and diversifying the cultural landscape. Conversations will facilitate creative stewardship initiatives in arts and arts education and provide insight into practical considerations and adaptations artists can adopt. We will explore health and safety considerations as well as the notion of creative responsibility and art as activism.

Sculpture Walk Springfield
A museum without walls with access to all is our vision. Our mission is "to enhance the quality of life and to promote economic vitality through the artistic transformation of Springfield with outdoor sculpture." Public art has proven itself to play a major role in rejuvenating public spaces and local economies in places as diverse as Chicago, Illinois and Asheville, North Carolina. Sculpture Walk Springfield is an initiative aimed at creating such a museum, by displaying quality sculptures in public places in Springfield on an annually rotating schedule.
